May 17, 2015 by Gopi Patel 7 Comments

Banana curry recipe (pakke kele ki sabzi) – A quick superfast curry recipe made from ripen banana.

Let me share a simple and easy curry recipe made from ripen banana. This pakke kele ki sabzi is cooked in few minutes and its also kids friendly.

I make ripen banana in two ways. One way is this way where I quickly saute banana with very few dry spices. Another way that I make often is sauteing banana in clarified butter or ghee with sugar. I will try to share the other recipe very soon.

Banana has so many health benefits. It is most widely consumed fruit. Bananas are very rich in potassium and magnesium. They are high in antioxidants, which can provide protection from free radicals, which we come into contact with every day, from the sunlight to the lotion you put on your skin. Banana are also known to reduce swelling and strengthen the nervous system due to presence of vitamin B6.

Coming back to this pakke kele ki sabzi or banana curry, you can make this sabji when you are running a little low on vegetables. Banana curry is little sweet and spicy sabji. The spice level is very mild and people who love sweet taste will love this sweet banana sabzi.

This banana curry is very easy to cook. Just one thing to note is that always make this curry fresh. Cut the banana just before making curry otherwise they may turn black. Also this curry is best served fresh. It taste really great with roti/chappati and even bread.

Let the fruits be part of meal . Do give it a try and trust me it is really yummy.
