Pomegranate popsicles (summer special recipe) –Â A super tasty ice pops recipe of pomegranate & lemon juice. Not only for kids but a treat for whole family.
Here’s a simple 3 ingredient recipe of mind blowing popsicles to cool down yourself this summer. I totally forget to make these yummy popsicles until I saw Masterchef India season 4th episode where Neha made a similar “chuski” and was eating it all over the places 🙂 The very next day I couldn’t control myself and made these popsicles in no time. It hardly take time to essemble all the ingredients and then rest of the work is anyway done by freezer. So in hardly 10 mins + few hours of deep freeze and the pops are ready.
These ice pops are quite popular across the globe. They are known by different names like “popsicles” in US and Canada, “ice lolly” in UK and Ireland, “ice block or ice pole” in Australia/New Zealand etc and “chuski” or “gola” in India. Normally ice pops are made by freezing flavored water or fruit juice around a stick. Sometime artificial coloring is also added. However today’s recipe is free of all artificial flavors. All natural good for health ingredients are used in these pretty looking ice pops.

Kids love these tangy or khata metha pomegranate popsicles. Instead of buying artificial flavored ice pops from market it is better to make these simple popsicles at home. Especially in summer these ice pops can do wonders to kids. Even I couldn’t resist myself. Just after clicking these pics I took one and started licking ^_^

Let’s check the easy recipe of making summer popsicles from pomegranate.
Quick recipe of Pomegranate popsicles with step by step pictures
Peel off the pomegranate seeds. Take the seeds in grinder/juicer jar of food processor. Leave a few seeds aside for later.
Squeeze half a lemon’s juice to the pomegranate seeds.
Add a teaspoon of sugar. You can avoid sugar and add honey instead.
Add water.
Blitz everything until it becomes juice.
Pomegranate and lemon juice is ready.
Strain the juice using a strainer and remove seeds. Taste the pomegranate juice and check if more sugar or lemon is required. Adjust the taste accordingly.
Now prepare Popsicle molds. Add a few pomegranate seeds in the mold.
Pour the pomegranate and lemon juice in molds.
Place a popsicle stick/kulfi stick in the center. If your mold does not come with a stick holder, improvise and use a plastic sheet to hold the stick to its place.
Place the popsicles in refrigerator’s deep freezer and let them freeze for few hours.
Once frozen for few hours, pomegranate ice pops are ready. Demold the popsicles and serve chilled.
