Strawberry Apple Smoothie –  Just look at the mouth watering smoothie in above image. Who wouldn’t fall for this delicious treat. The layer of strawberry on apple milkshake can make anyone crave for this beauty. When it comes to smoothies, the presentation rules em’all. Although having fruit smoothies in breakfast is a great way to start once day but when you serve your smoothie in this way, who would say no. You can entice almost anyone with a glass of strawberry apple smoothie 😉 Like I do to my hubby every now and then. He likes to eat fruits raw.  But now I have convinced him that food is as important for tummy as it is to eye. First we eat through eye so it should look absolutely amazing. Not always I decorate the glasses like this, but when I do I make sure he is not around. The smile on his face when I hand him the smoothie is thousand times more valuable for the effort that I put.

In past few days, I  have made lot of different varieties of smoothies like melon kiwi smoothie, strawberry banana kiwi smoothie etc. As and when I get my hands on variety of fruits, they ends up in my blender 🙂 Yesterday it was strawberries turn. I confess, like any other girl I love strawberries. The sparkling red color and the sweet tangy taste of this fruit is above any other fruit in my list (except for mangoes). They have this small small black seeds which you have to chew while eating them. I love that 😀

Don’t use the strawberries that are sour, it would spoil your smoothie. Take the sweet and juicy one which are usually riper. Just remove the green part of strawberries and cut them in halves. Also the apple needs to be skinned first. Don’t throw away the skin of apple. It has all the nutrition. So eat them all.

Cut the fruits in medium size pieces and blend them well in a blender/food processor. Add a cup of milk while blending. Taste the milkshake and add a tablespoon of honey if you like your smoothie sweeter. Enjoy the glass of strawberry apple smoothie with some ice cubes.

What is “one cup” of apple? Do I need to use Archimedes principle to find the volume and convert that into cups? Wouldn’t using weight for a solid object like an apple have made more sense?
