About

Hello! Namasté!

My name is Gopi. Welcome to my food blog. I come from a traditional Indian family with high regards of home cooking. Since the childhood I have been brought up in an environment where cooking was not just part of life, but was indeed life. Since childhood like every other curious girl, I had a diary where I used to note all the recipes that came along the way. That cooking diary has now become werecipes.com.

This food blog is an attempt to share my passion with others and learn something new in the process of sharing it. Each time I write something with the thought of sharing it, I try to be extra cautious that world out there is going to read this. Since I started this website, not only I have learned a lot about cooking that I thought I knew already, but also I got in the new realm of blogging.

WeRecipes.com is still and will always be a work in progress. I would try to share the traditional Indian recipes that are cooked daily in an Indian home. Also I will try my hands on other cuisines like Italian, Chinese, Thai, Swiss, French, Mexican, etc. Every now and then I would share tips and tricks that I learn from experiences and from others who would share it with me.

I hope you like this simple food blog with many traditional Indian recipes. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts. If you don’t want to miss any recipe, please like my facebook page or google plus.

WeRecipes Android App is now available –  DOWNLOAD FREE ANDROID APP

Recently I have been translating recipes into native Indian languages as a lot of people are requesting for recipes in Hindi, Gujarati, etc. Checkout the list of recipes translated into Hindi (हिन्दी) and Gujarati (ગુજરાતી) languages. I plan to add more languages in future so you might find recipes in Tamil, Telugu, etc.

Happy cooking 🙂
Gopi

  • Hi Gopi!

The recipes on your website look incredible. I live in England and it is so difficult to find authentic Indian recipes. I have travelled in India and Bangladesh and really loved eating lots of delicious curry. I am also vegan so it's great to see so many veggie recipes. I can't wait to try some of these out. Thanks.

    • Thanks a lot Noori for such a wonderful comment. We all have encountered such people around who feel reluctant in sharing recipes. I myself have experienced this in past. But thanks to internet, we don't have to worry these days. This site has given me platform to share my adventures and misadventures :) I hope you'll love the recipes and keep visiting this humble food blog. ^_^
