Masala Puffed Rice Recipe

Easy snack recipe prepared from puffed rice, roasted peanuts, sev and indian spices.
  • Puffed Rice : 5 cups
  • Sev : 1 cup
  • Peanut : 1/3 cup
  • Salt : 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Oil : 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida (hing) : 1/8 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
  1. Heat oil in a thick bottom pan and add peanuts.
  2. Cook on medium flame until they are light brown in color.
  3. Once cooked remove the peanuts on paper towel and keep aside.
  4. In the same oil add mustard seed once the mustard seeds crackles add hing.
  5. Add the turmeric powder and red chili powder, cook for 20 sec.
  6. Add puffed rice and mix everything well with oil.
  7. Sprinkle some salt on top and mix well.
  8. Add fried peanuts and sev and mix well all the ingredients.
  9. Spicy masala puffed rice recipe is ready. Serve hot as a snack.
